The IoD has championed the importance of reliable and affordable air links and the role of transport in the island's economic and social prosperity.
Digital connectivity is also critical to our members' business needs and to the island as a place to live and work; the IoD maintains an overview of Guernsey's telecoms service and provides a platform for debate and scrutiny.

The IoD is committed to representing the members' views on air and sea links as well as the island's digital and telecommunications capacity.
Key information & achievements
- Regular meetings with States of Guernsey Deputies and civil servants to discuss air travel issues
- Working closely with the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce, the IoD has surveyed members to research and provide a detailed insight into the travel needs of local businesses
- Engagement with the debate around the runway, the airport's efficiencies, the Open Skies policy and flight prices
- Participation in a working party across Guernsey's main business groups to present a unified lobby voice
